St.  Thomas Higher Secondary School, Pyndengumiong Mairang, had journeyed for Fifty Years and rendered a great service to form and educate to many small and young children. We are living in the challenges of this present time according to the changing global society and world of social media, therefore St. Thomas Higher Secondary School aims at the all-round development and formation of the students, especially to educate all the children who are coming to the school. Every student receives training in habits of study, discipline, self-reliance and moral values so as to become worthy citizens of the society and of our country. Education is very important. It is an engine for the growth, development and progress of all children in every society. Education is possible in a holistic, student-centric environment and in a great effort to reach the heart of all the children in a society who have come with an abundance of goodwill and strong determination to learn and receive education. I wish and encourage all the students to do well in their studies to learn more and to come up in life.

             All the teachers have tried to adopt variety of skills an innovative initiatives of educating, forming, motivating and empowering all students to think, to express and to exhibit their knowledge, talents and skills. I sincerely admire and I appreciate all the teachers for the great initiative, the great responsibility and pain they endure to form, to mould, to teach and impart education to all the students right from the smaller classes up to the higher classes. In this Fifty Years St.Thomas Higher Secondary School, Pyndengumiong Mairang, has produced many capable and efficient students who make their career of choice and future leaders in the society and in the country.

            I thank God the almighty for the numerous choicest of blessings and graces bestowed upon the School in this Fifty Years. My heartfelt gratitude to Sister Vice-principal, Sister headmistress, to all the Teachers and Non-teaching staff for the good collaboration, hard work and selfless service. The Secretary and members of Managing Committee for the smooth running of the school. Students, parents and everyone who have made a great contribution to the growth and development of the School. I wish St. Thomas higher Secondary School  a great success in the years to come.
